Want to rock a bagpack but not too sure which one to go for? This could be the post for you…
I’ve opted for an anti-theft High Spirit Bag. Yep, you heard it. Anti-theft.
High Spirit was created by two very high spirited young men raised in Hackney, London, who didn’t want their love of life and travel to be ruined by pickpockets and thieves. You can read the full story behind the creation of High Spirit here (I assure you it’s worth the read), but all in all, their entrepreneurial minds led to a clever little bag to wash all of your worries away. A simple idea that is to revolutionise the bagpack industry- switching the zip to run down the spine of the bag instead of across the front!
“Life is not about the destination. It’s about the journey. It’s also about being in the moment and enjoying every walking moment of your life.”
Not only do they keep your treasures safe, helping keep your mind at rest when out and about, they also look amazing. I’ve gone for gold and black (my fave colours, as shown below) but there’s more options on site. I’d also recommend the Black Ostrich Bagpack– an easy one to go with every outfit.
If you’re one for adventure but want to look good while you’re at it, then High Spirit is definitely worth checking out.
Thank you to the High Spirit guys for introducing me to such a wonderful invention and for being the positive men that you are- don’t loose that and please don’t stop creating! We want to see more! xx
Today I had an interesting conversation about fashion models and ‘what they should look like’. The conversation started with how tall, skinny girls grace our catwalks year on year- the vast majority being white. It then lead on to how the fashion industry is becoming more diverse and bigger, shorter, more colourful girls are entering fashion. How the industry is now more open to variety and that ‘commericial’ models are becoming increasingly popular and accepted. But all in all, how much the fashion world is still mostly discrimitive. Clone girls used simply as hangers to display product.
The conversation then moved onto social media. How curvier girls are making their mark. Reaching insta fame through big booty pictures. Small waist, ginormous curves. Making a stand for shapelier girls. After all, “thick is the new skinny.” Somehow, I disagree.
Who is anybody to say that fat is the new thin, that tall is the new small or that boobs are the new bum? You want to know what’s really sexy?
No matter what your height, shape or clothing size, knowing how to be you and most of all how to love you, is the most attractive feature that anybody could ask for. I’m not denying that I won’t be sneaking a peak at how big Kim Kardashian’s butt is, or that I won’t be checking out Rocky Barnes NYFW figure. But all the time that I’m appreciating these beautiful women, I will- most of all- be appreciating myself.
Tigeress Lifestyle isn’t here to tell you how to look. Nor is it here to tell you what you should eat or how you should exercise. Tigeress is here to help you to love yourself and to continue to do so for as long as you live. My opinion may not matter to some people and my advice may not be taken on by all, but I truly believe that healthy is beautiful and exists in more than one shape or form. The best way to love your life is to start by loving yourself. Be you, love you, and the idea of right or wrong image suddenly becomes insignificant, because why would you want to be anybody other than yourself? xx
Here it is! The first edit of the New Balance x Tigeress Lifestyle has arrived and I’m sporting the Vazee Rush and matching training kit. A cushioned sports shoe that combines high performance running and versatile training into one shoe. While the midfoot wrap supports the arch, cushioning reduces impact, creating a comfortable trainer that’s also great on the eye!
With REVlite technology (that’s New Balance’s innovative foam creation), the shoe is also super lightweight. As in, you’ll pick up the trainer and have to look twice to check it’s still there! The trainer fits true to size- I’m a UK size 5 and wear a UK size 5- so you don’t have to worry about working out which way to move the sizing on!
Complementing the trainer is my kit. My perfectly matching capri pants are also super comfortable meaning no mid-workout adjustments are needed! Then there’s the open back top with sewn in printed sports bra, but there’s more on this little one to come soon…
Wherever your workout takes you, be sure to treat your body to the best kit to support it the way it should be supported (and all the better if you look great in it too)!
All shot by the wonderfully talented Dean Martindale in East London. Watch out for more from New Balance, Dean and myself right here on Tigeress. In the meantime, where will your workout take you? xx
It’s been a little while since any newness hit Tigeress Lifestyle and it’s all my fault! But we’re not ones to laze around here at Tigeress… I’ve been a super busy bee spending time working with my fave menswear ASOS team, hunting for a new place to live in London (which is much much more difficult than you could imagine) and most importantly, creating lots of fun content for the site! The most exciting being my collaboration New Balance, which the first edit will be launching right here tomorrow AM!
Keep your eye on your inbox for that New Balance x Tigeress alert to see the latest sportswear that could be lining your wardrobes!
See you tomorrow! xx
It’s been almost five months now since I was running through the heat-ridden desert of Morocco, two months since the launch of the Vazee Pace and New Balance’s #alwaysinbeta movement and now, the UK will be pleased to see that they’ve been let in on the action too! New Balance’s The Storm campaign has finally hit UK media and will be gracing television screens well into September. There’s going to be a lot of New Balance fun right here on Tigeress but for now, sit back, relax and enjoy the full #alwaysinbeta experience…
