Nail varnish. Always a tricky one. If it’s not too thin, it’s too thick. Chips too easily. Dries way too slowly or worst of all, ruins your nails. Well, Barry M have brought something new to the table- a nail polish that is actually good for our nails (and does a nice job when it comes to consistency, lasting-power and dry time too)!
Using the one beauty product that I swear by, Coconut Oil, along with the ever-so-hydrating Coconut Water, they have developed an ingenious moisturising nail paint to help our nails look fabulous with or without polish. The special formula is designed to repair and nurture nails and the anti-oxidising properties of coconut help to remove impurities.
There are nine colours to choose from, all fairly soft pastel hues and named rather tropically. There’s the nude palette; Skinny Dip, Tiki Hut, Sunkissed and Star Fish. The pinks; Aloha and Flamingo. The blues; Laguna and Bikini and then my favourite lilac, Surfboard.
There’s no need for a topcoat, in fact, it actually works more effectively without! The varnish gets straight to work to nourish and strengthen nails with it’s coconutty goodness. I was impressed with how easy it was to apply- I don’t have the steadiest hand but somehow my nails looked salon-worthy- and it lasted a good four days without chipping at all.
