Caught Up In A Good Thing With Volcom Womens & Earth Day

Volcom Women’s have launched their new Simply Solid Swim bikinis today and they are way more than just a bikini. The new campaign, Caught Up In A Good Thing, which you can see right here, supports the environment and has launched in perfect time with Earth Day (today!).

We’re all aware of the growing importance and urgency of protecting the environment, so it’s always great to see brands doing their bit to actually make an impact and not just as a marketing stunt! Volcom have been supporting sustainability from as early as 2005, where they launched their first eco-friendly products and have since been doing their bit one step at a time. With Volcom’s love for the sea, it’s no surprise that Caught Up In A Good Thing holds the ocean at the heart of the campaign; they have taken recovered fishing nets along with other discarded nylons and upcycled them to create a 100% recyclable yarn. Yay to protecting marine life and another yay to Econyl, their regenerated yarn!

The ocean friendly Simply Solid Swim collection is made from 78% Econyl  and you can shop it here. Prices start from £20 and range up to £60 for their Simply Solid bodysuit. I opted for the Tri Bikini Top and Cheeky Bikini Bottoms in teal.

Happy Earth Day, all! xx

H2Ohhh! The Most Stylish Water Bottles Around

It’s a well known fact that wearing sportswear that you feel great in makes you workout harder. OK, maybe not a fact but there are plenty of studies out there (including my own experience) that back it up. So the outfit’s on point, the trainers are matching- kind of- hair’s slicked back and you’re ready for business. You hit the treadmill, your moment to shine and before long you need to take a sip of your ever-so-vital water. You reach for the bottle and…oh…suddenly not so fab. It’s the same old scruffy Tesco’s own water bottle that you’ve used for the zillionth time. It doesn’t even look attractive to drink from never mind helping to boost your gym-pro attitude.

Now perhaps it’s not as dramatic as this, but let’s face it, there’s are plenty of fun water bottles out there to make even the most exercise-hating person want to buy one (and to jazz up your gym outfit). Here’s my pick of the best! xx
