No Excuse Workouts: The Routines to Try Right Now!

We all know how difficult it can be to stick to your exercise plans. Things get in the way, time runs short or we’re too exhausted to even think about dropping into press ups. Well, all that can change with my series of No Excuse Workouts!

They’re designed with a busy lifestyle in mind and don’t get in the way of other commitments. Requiring absolutely no equipment whatsoever you can take these with you anywhere and everywhere. Perfect for your living room, outdoors or even your hotel suite and it doesn’t stop there… They’re short and effective with the 3 Minute Series being, well, only 3 minutes long meaning that you could even get up 3 minutes earlier than usual and have a quick session before work!

There’s 6 videos, so you can choose which area you want to focus on (or opt for full body if you want an all over blast) and they can all be amended accordingly to your own fitness level.

So when time’s running short, you’re a little tired or you’re simply trying to think of any excuse in the world not to exercise (but know that you really should), you know where to head…  No Excuses!

How I Keep Fit!

I’m going to let you in on a secret. OK, so for anyone who knows me well it’s not actually that much of a secret… However, it is a damn good tip on how to get fit and fast! 

You’re looking to improve your fitness, maybe tone up a little, loose a few pounds? I bet the first thing that comes to mind for most people is running. It’s free, convenient and if stuck to, sure to tick all three of the above boxes. If it’s not running, it’s a class. Swimming? Home workout video? Sure, all of these can be effective but I prefer something a little less popular. Sprinting. 

For some reason, sprinting isn’t one that springs to mind for many when looking to get fit and it absolutely baffles me as to why not. Yes, it falls into the oh-so-popular running category, but it takes things to a whole new level…

It’s quick. So for anybody short of time (who isn’t nowadays?!) there’s no excuse. It will get you’re heart rate up, increase fitness, speed, agility. Help to shed weight. Is a full body toner and can be a sure fire way to build a killer bum! It’s an answer to your fitness goals and more. 

I may be bias. I grew up with an athletics background and speed was my speciality. But at the end of the day, if you’re not training for the Olympics or looking to start racing others anytime soon, it’s doesn’t actually matter how fast you are, as long as you run at your full pelt. Why not give it a try? Head to your local park and try sets of sprints at a comfortable distance for you. The recommended amount really depends upon your own fitness level but why not try two sets of three to start with and see how you get on.

I teamed up with London based photographer Henry Knock to shoot a little something sporty (what else?!). This time we took it back to my roots and went all out track and field. As a previous three times Yorkshire Champion for triple jump, it was great to back to the track and even better that this time, it would all be captured on camera!

Beyoncé, Can You Handle This?

Kelly, can you handle this? Michelle, can you handle this? Beyoncé, can you handle this? I don’t think they can handle this! Well actually, I’m sure that they can. As can you, with my new bootylicious workouts ready to whip that butt into shape in no time!

There’s two to choose from, starting with the Ultimate Booty Building Squat Exercises. This one’s a full workout routine consisting of nothing but squats. From sumo to jumping, curtsy to kicking and the good old standard squat, there’s nearly every squat variation that you can think of (or fit into one workout).

Then there’s the no excuses, 3 Minute Booty Blast– a shorter power routine that is perfect for those of us who are lacking on time! Swap sitting on your butt swiping through Instagram for putting on your favourite song and seeing results. It’s even perfect for that before or after work fix. Why? Because it literally only takes 3 minutes.

Neither workout requires any equipment whatsoever and can be taken with you anywhere. Let me know what you think!

All About the Trainers that I Wore in the New Balance TV Commercial

Monday is here again, meaning that there is a fresh new post over on my YouTube fitness channel. Today I’m reviewing the trainer that I wore in the New Balance TV commercial, The Storm. They are one of my favourite pairs of trainers and are the New Balance Vazee Pace.
