Last month I had the honour of working with Gymshark and one of my fave photographers, Tom Joy for the launch of Gymshark’s Vital Seamless collection. I absolutely love the range and couldn’t be happier with the final campaign. Thanks, Gymshark! See some of the campaign imagery below…
Puma have taken a nod towards the red carpet with their new Velvet Rope collection. Hence the name, the pack takes inspiration from the velvet rope that would typically be seen at high profile events. The idea being that we can step beyond the velvet rope and into the spotlights and fierce world that lies behind it. It’s workout gear with a fashion edge and deserves a place in any activewear wardrobe.
The pack has recently launched on ASOS and I was lucky enough to get involved in the campaign wearing the ever so comfortable Active Training Explosive Bodysuit. Check out a snippet of it below…
Velvet Rope comprises of a variety of footwear and apparel, all adopting an olive, black and gold colour scheme. If like me you wear your gym kit to more than just the gym then I’d say that you will love this range. Here are a few of my faves…
Every high street retailer seems to have brought out a sportswear range now and most of them look pretty amazing. But if you’re actually wanting to wear your gymwear to the gym (or for any other sport for that matter) then it needs to be of good quality. That’s no constantly pulling up leggings, fading after the first wash or embarrassing rips mid-session! Here are my top three picks of the best low-budget activewear ranges with surprisingly good quality!
Known for their extremely low prices, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from Primark sportswear. Aesthetically, I was impressed; bright pops of colour alongside patterned leggings and plainer basics. With lots of variety and on-trend colours, they cover pretty much every visible need. The range also isn’t lacking in options with a huge selection of sports bras, leggings, tops and jackets. So far so good, but I was still sceptical about how they would perform once I had them on…
Primark, I apologise for ever doubting you. My leggings fit perfectly and I didn’t have to adjust them once throughout my entire day! The sports bra also fit well and looked amazing- although I don’t have too much to support up top, I felt secure and confident all day.
My absolute all time fave. Lots of variety, amazing prices & new options throughout the season to keep you coming back for more (eeeek!). I recently bought the £13 Medium Impact Sports Bra and have my eye on the Active Cross-Back Jumpsuit for £23!
Stylish and affordable, you will be looking and feeling like fire in the new H&M activewear range. The colours, the shapes, the prices. Everything is on point. I have my eye on the £17.99 Medium Support Sports Bra.
Know any other great quality, low price sportswear ranges? I’d love to hear! x
Did you know that George at ASDA have launched a women’s sportswear collection and it’s absolutely brilliant! With cute designs and cheap prices, there’s not much not to like. Here are my fave items from the range…

Autumn is upon us, meaning shorter, colder days and for a lot of us, less motivation to get active. If there’s one thing that’s going to get us in the mood for moving, that’s brand new activewear… right?!
I’ve said it before and will say it again, if you feel great in your sportswear then you’re more likely to workout harder, or at all. So just in time for the colder season, I’ve picked out my top sportswear buys that may be just what you need for that little extra push.
I am a teeny-weeny bit obsessed with activewear brand Lorna Jane; an Australian-born gymwear brand promoting ‘Active Living’. Similarly to Tigeress, they believe in fitness and health as a lifestyle, with an aim to empower women to lead such healthy lives. But it’s not only their vision that’s got me swooning. The clothes are ahhh-mazing too!
High quality, comfortable, super flattering as well as looking great, there’s not really much more that you could ask for from your gym kit. There’s a range of styles and shapes to suit a variety of tastes and body sizes. My fave is the Cobra set, as worn below. I’ve never had a sports bra fit quite like it- fully supportive whilst somehow managing to enhance my tiny assets. I felt both womanly and ready for business (a.k.a. my spin class) as soon as I stepped into it.
Now I haven’t tried every item from the collection and with so much to choose from I doubt that I ever will, however I’m impressed from what I’ve seen so far and am eager to purchase my next piece! You can shop the collection by clicking right here and if you’re UK based you can always swing by the Covent Garden flagship store. Let me know what you think! xx
I’d heard that Zara have been selling sportswear for a little while now, yet strangely I’ve only just properly checked it out. Perhaps it was my crazy saving scheme that seems to have been taking place all year, avoiding shops at all costs, or simply that I have sportswear coming out of my ears so really shouldn’t be buying any more- who am I kidding, you can NEVER have enough sportswear! Anyway, whatever the reason, I’m late. Admittedly poor behaviour for a fitness blogger and I’m not sure that I should be pointing this out to you all, but I feel that it’s worth it if it means that I can direct any other poor soul that has been missing out into the sporty Zara light!
It’s fabulous! It really is and is amazingly affordable. Sure, it doesn’t have the technology that Nike or New Balance may hold, but it’s fashion and will do a damn good job of making you look and feel great in the gym, on your run in the park or when you fancy a sporty look for your day off. Consisting of basic mix and match items, Zara have hit the nail right on the head. Check it out for yourself right here or see my favourite pieces below… x
There are several types of people who go to the gym. There’s the hunky men who spend more time in the mirror than actually working up a sweat, the treadmill selfie queens (please fall off mid photo, we beg!), the ones who coolly walk in wearing all the right gear, only to head straight to the sauna and then there’s the rest that quite frankly just want to have a damn good work out! I’d like to hope that I’m included in the latter.
However, at the end of the day, no matter what kind of gym-goer you are, it’s all about image whether we like it or not. You either go to make an impression to other people or you go to make yourself look and feel great. Gym-going has become so much of a trend that so has the clothing that we wear to work out. I for one, am happy about this. I love active wear both in and out of the gym, so thank god there’s becoming a little more variation on the market! But the prices, god the prices…
Activewear is expensive, way too expensive. So I’ve picked the best of budget sports gear that will have you looking ahhhmazing no matter how hard you train!
H&M Sports bag £24.99
H&M Sports Shorts £12.99
H&M Winter Running Tights £34.99
P.S. There’s scientific evidence surrounding gym sass. According to researchers at Northwestern University, clothing influences us mentally as well as physically. Basically, the better you think that you look the harder you’ll work out. So, there’s a nice excuse to get your shop on and with prices this cheap who can resist?! xx
