LUKCY x Mitchell & Ness

London based mega babe and stylist Kitty Cowell has teamed up with sports and lifestyle brand Mitchell & Ness to design a hat as part of the LUKCY Project (yes, it’s spelt that way on purpose) all in the name of mental health awareness. The project so far consists of two videos showing several individuals who open up about their own personal set backs and how they have worked their butts off in order to ‘create their own luck’.

The first video shows Kitty herself. She expresses her struggles as a child growing up with dyslexia, tackling depression and dealing with endometriosis. Kitty shares how she has overcome setbacks, picked herself up and fought her way to become her own boss as a stylist and lifestyle blogger. You can see the full video below.

The second video, in collaboration with Mitchell & Ness, shows other creatives who talk us through how they have reached success whilst dealing with personal issues. It’s actually pretty emotional and inspiring to say the least. Check it out below!

Kitty has designed a limited edition hat in which their are only 25 of in the whole world! It’s super cute and will be auctioned later this week with all profits going to Mind Charity. Keep an eye out on Kitty’s Instagram (@kittycowell) for full details of the auction. It’s only the beginning for this project but I’m already excited to see more.

Exploring London with Dave Gershman & New Balance Accessories…

This week I headed to the streets of Shoreditch, London, with my good friend, photographer and New Yorker, Dave Gershman.

Dave has recently been on a whirlwind tour of the world through his travel journalism (what can’t this guy do?!) and has stopped off in London as his final destination before travelling back to the Big Apple.

As a street photographer, Dave naturally wants to take pictures everywhere and anywhere- regardless of people’s willingness to have their photo taken- so it can definitely be interested when exploring the city with him. Likewise, it was also the perfect opportunity to get some snaps of my own, so that’s exactly what we did.

Taking over one cobbled Shoreditch backstreet, we turned the pavement into catwalk and began shooting away. Of course, being a street life photographer you have to be quick, so within a few clicks from Dave and an array of dramatic poses and struts from myself, we had all the content we needed. Here are the results, featuring my sandstone New Balance accessories…

Classic backpack in sandstone available for £25 from June at ASOS. 6-Panel curved brim hat in sandstone available for £15 from June at ASOS. Check Dave out on Instagram @DaveGershman.
