The Body Shop Virgin Mojito

Who knew that Mojitos aren’t just for drinking? I definitely didn’t. That was until I discovered a refreshing new range created by The Body Shop– a zingy cocktail treat that doesn’t come with a hangover (and that radiates your skin rather than draining it)!

Their new special edition Virgin Mojito body care range has dropped right in time for summer. Helping to leave your skin feeling fresh and smelling delicious. Described by the creators as an irresistible blend of the extracts of zesty lime and fresh, crushed mint from the Caribbean, I couldn’t agree more. So as the heat turns up, you can cool down.

As much as I’m a health freak- it’s OK, I admit it- anybody who knows me at all, knows that I love a cheeky cocktail or two. So I was beyond excited to come across this little beaut of a range. There’s the shower gel, scrub, body butter, splash (the fragrance) and sorbet. Sorbet being the light moisturiser, which I just couldn’t resist. It’s the yummiest body care collection that I’ve found in a while and smells just like the real thing. The only problem? I’ve been craving a mojito ever since… That might not be a bad thing though, right?

Refresh yourself now in store or online and if you have any birthdays around the corner then there’s gift sets that might just tickle their fancy. Enjoy! xx

Shinjuku Bloom- scattered cherry blossom petals after the rain (my favourite).

Lemon Daydream- zesty citrus dappled by sun warmed wood.

Floral Memento- dusty violets settling amongst bergamot trees and peony dreams.

Steel Gardens- petals swept in a silver haze revealing hints of forever floral.

Punk Bouquet- frothy vanilla soda on a rebellious rose bouquet.

Tangier Tales- a veil of dark amber lingers over sultry pear.

Botanic Whisper- vivid orange blossom tinged with coriander.

Belleville Bakery- tangy lemon juice melting into creamy vanilla.

And the list goes on… These really are sweet treats that you don’t have to feel guilty about! In fact, your skin- and nose- will be thanking you plenty! The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream

When it’s cold our hands need that little extra care to keep them feeling soft and looking great. I’m a huge fan of The Body Shop’s Almond Hand & Nail Cream. Not only does it work wonders for my skin, it also smells delicious and it’s a great size to pop in your bag or to keep on your desk!

The strain that our hands go through on a day to day basis means that they need extra moisturisation than the rest of our body. Just think of the work that your hands put in- everything from carrying bags to opening letters (fan mail I like to pretend) to lifting weights at the gym. Give them the care that they deserve by aiming to moisturise at least five times per day or more if they’re feeling extra dry!
You can Buy your own Almond Hand & Nail Cream from The Body Shop online and in store (£5 for 30ml and £11 for 100ml). I love a good hand cream- what’s your fave? I’d love to hear! xx

Nivea Hand, Face and Body

Staying moisturised is super important if we want to keep our skin healthy. Dry skin flakes, looks dull and can even become very uncomfortable- not what you want!! The most natural way to moisturise is to drink plenty of water, but sometimes our skin needs that little extra help. There are a million moisturisers to choose from on the high street but my all time favourite has to be Nivea’s Hand, Face and Body Cream. All the moisture that my body needs in one little tube.

Usually it’s recommended that separate moisturisers are used for your face, body and hands (thicker for the hands and body and lighter for the face), but the consistency of this cream means that it can be used everywhere and anywhere! I use mine on my face and body every morning and evening and then pop it in my bag to keep my hands moisturised all day long. It’s a particularly good buy if you’re planning travels, as it means that you don’t have to weight down your case with multiple moisturisers. It’s also really great for sensitive skin. What a dream!

Priced as cheaply as moisturisers come, Nivea Hand, Face and Body comes in both a small tube- perfect for slipping in your make up bag- and a larger tub to keep at home. Find yours now in most health and beauty retailers such as Boots and Superdrug. xx
