Jeggie Activewear 10% Off!

So, I’ve got some pretty exciting news. I am now an official brand ambassador for up-and-coming activewear brand Jeggie, which is great for me but also means a little something for you guys too- 10% off anything on site (just click right here and pop in code Kirbyanne10)!

“Move in better comfort with effortless style.” Jeggie Philosophy.

All about comfort through movement and style, Jeggie uses the latest technology to create activewear products that provide superior performance and durability. One of their innovative features is dyna-fit- a unique knit that increases bloodflow and delivery of oxygen to the muscles and tissues, meaning increased muscle performance. Sounds impressive? That’s just one of their eight technologies!

It’s not just about practicality either, they also pay attention to aesthetics. My favourite being the Radius Sports Bra (as shown below).

Equinox Summer Sunrise Yoga at Ham Yard Hotel

Calling all early birds and/or yoga lovers, there’s a new yoga class that’s just arrived in London that I think you may like! Similar to it’s location, it’s one of those secret classes that if you know about it you know about it and if you don’t, well, you don’t. I guess it’s a good job that I’m here to fill you in on all of the details…

Held at the top of Soho’s hidden gem, Ham Yard Hotel, it’s the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of London and finally let your mind relax. Exactly what you’d want from a yoga class, no? The tranquil rooftop garden, scattered with hanging lanterns and greenery, takes you away to dreamier destinations- the weather even managed to hold out for us too (although there is a canopy just in case)!

Starting at 7am it is an early one, yet I think that adds to the experience. A nice way to wake your body up and a peaceful start to the day. The class, brought to us by Equinox and led by the lovely Kathryn Fielding, lasts for an hour and suits a variety of levels. I’m no yoga pro but was able to stay at my own pace whilst more advanced participants carried out more difficult moves.

Running for the next five Wednesdays (29th June-27th July) it’s a 7am meet for a 7.15am start. You’re out by 8.15am and even get a freshly pressed juice on exit. If it sounds like something you might fancy then you can get your tickets right here for £20. X

Yung Club Yoga @ Selfridges

Yoga is everywhere at the moment, but it’s sometimes difficult to decide which is the best class for you. Well if you’re sick of the same old generic classes or simply like to switch up your yog-ing destination, then you might want to continue reading…

Yung Club Yoga is ‘the world’s first 225 degree immersive yoga, light and sound experience.’ Sounds fancy? It is! Based in Selfridges until June 10th (that’s this Friday!), there’s a range of themed classes to choose from including Deep Sea, Wild Child, Dream City and Spaced Out. I headed to the Wild Child class not knowing quite what the expect.

Held in what I can only describe as a holographic pod, the space was just as interesting outside as it was in. On entering we were greeted with splashes of colour, vibrant lights and a killer playlist- a whole new world of tropical tranquillity. The yoga was at a much quicker pace than I had anticipated, which was actually quite suiting seeing as I’m usually a bit of a high intensity girl. The class incorporated everything you would expect from your standard yoga class and much more- it was the first time I had left yoga feeling like I’d genuinely banished my frustrations from the day. It was also fun.

Whether you’re a hardcore yoga fan or not, Yung Club Yoga is an amazing way to transport you away from London to another realm. Even if it is only for an hour.

For yoga with a difference find Yung Club Yoga on Selfridges LG floor every day at 1, 6 and 7pm until Friday 10th June. Pre-book your place right here.

Free Yoga at Lush Oxford Street

Luxury workout clothes brand iamVibes has teamed up with the one and only Lush Cosmetics Oxford Street to bring free yoga for all! Yep that’s right, free yoga. All you need is a mat, yourself and to get there early in order to avoid disappointment and you’re good to go. I was invited down to the first ever event…

Arriving with mat in hand, hair tied back neatly and my very own iamVibes Hamsa crop top (with leggings of course) I most definitely looked the part. That was until I actually took to the mat and discovered that I’m by no means Miss Yoga 2016. No matter how many squats, hill sprints or burpees I may be able to do, they weren’t going to be saving me here.

Led by Katarina Rayburn, one of the most impressive yoga teachers that I have ever seen, we were in for some true hardcore stretching, flexing and breathing. The class was formed of mixed abilities, from beginners to pros (unfortunately I landed myself a space next to a pro) and allowed everybody to join in at their own pace, adopting different positions dependant upon your level. It was pretty surreal having the class held amongst the cosmetic goodies and intrigued customers of Lush, especially with their glass front looking over Oxford Street, but it was an experience that I would recommend. Lasting a whole hour, we definitely made the most of the time.

I am far from a yoga expert- or ‘yogi’ I have been advised they are called- and have previously been quick to dismiss the skills that yoga requires, however I left the class with a new found appreciation for the practice. Offered fresh lemon water, Vita Coco coconut water and an iamVibes goody bag with Lush Zen Soap, which by the way smells delicious, it was most definitely worth the trip and I will be back again soon.

Why not head to the next session this Friday 6th May? Choose one of three classes or attend them all. Starting with Pilates 3-4pm, then Yoga by Katarina Rayburn 4-5pm and finally Yoga by Charlotte Nixon 5-6pm, they’re all held in the event space on the first floor at Lush Oxford Street store. Oh and I’ve heard that there’ll be vegan fruit at this one too. Good for our bodies and conscientious, that’s what we like to hear!

Hopefully see you there! x

Sky High Yoga

It’s 6.30am and you’re thirty-five floors up, overlooking the exquisite city of London. Yes, it’s cold and yes, you could be snuggled up in bed right now, but who cares? You’re about to take part in one of the city’s finest and most picturesque yoga classes.

Based in the glass room that is Sky Garden, this Sky High Yoga class has got Londoners itching to release their inner yogi. The one hour group yoga session is sure to set you up for the day, leaving you feeling relaxed, satisfied and ready to take on the world. Isn’t it strange how a good sunrise view can have you feeling so appreciative… Oh yes, and I’m sure the yoga works wonders too!

Wrap up warm because there’s no heating in this natural environment and make sure you take your own mat!

If you’re a fan of yoga (or simply love a good view), then this one’s for you. Available to book for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. x
